Michael Andrew VanBramer

Michael Andrew VanBramer, 39, of 6 Cherry St. died in his sleep of natural causes Thursday morning at home.

Born in Pittsfield on April 19, 1966, son of Barbara Chitarra VanBramer Londergan and the late Gerard VanBramer, he was raised by his stepfather, Andrew Londergan, and was a graduate of Taconic High School's auto body department.

At the time of death, Mr. VanBramer was employed as a limousine driver for Transport the People. Before that, he was a truck driver for PolyMatrix, RUS and Taconic Valley Transport.

He enjoyed race cars, dirt biking and fishing.

Besides his mother and stepfather, of Pittsfield, he leaves a daughter, Marti-Jo VanBramer of Pittsfield; a son, Lucas VanBramer of Pittsfield; two brothers, Mark S. VanBramer and Matthew G. VanBramer, both of Pittsfield; his maternal grandmother, Doris Gilbert Chitarra of Pittsfield, and his paternal grandmother, Martha Post Londergan of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Michael Andrew VanBramer will be Monday, May 2, 2005, at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Omission of flowers is requested. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marti-Jo and Lucas VanBramer Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.

Mr. VanBramer was predeceased by his father, Gerard VanBramer; a brother, Martin J. VanBramer, and his grandfathers, James VanBramer and Salvatore Chitarra. He also leaves three nieces, Cassandra, Nicole and Brooke, and his nephew, Cameron. He will be lovingly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins.
