Cheridah L. Rose, 65, died Monday evening at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 26, 1939, daughter of Frank and Orrel Waters Rose, she was a 1957 graduate of Lee High School.
Ms. Rose was employed as a waitress at Blantyre in Lenox for a few years.
In her younger years, she was active in the Youth Group and sang in the choir at the former Lee Methodist Church.
She enjoyed being with her family during the holidays.
She leaves a brother, Marvin B. Rose of Pittsfield, and a sister, Audrey A. Major of Sheffield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Cheridah L. Rose is also survived by two nephews, Patrick, and his wife, Anita Major, of Westfield, and Jack Murray of Alexandria, Va., along with a niece, Robin Murray of Orlando, Fla., and three grandnephews.
Cheridah was predeceased by a brother, Fenwicke Rose, in 1981, and by a sister, Winifred Murray, in February of this year. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee with the Rev. John McKinstry officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Chester.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 10 until the time of the service.
