William H. Hawley Jr., 81, of Craneville Place died there yesterday.
Born in Dalton on July 22, 1923, son of William H. Hawley Sr. and Martha Barron Hawley, he was educated in schools in Dalton and Pittsfield.
He was a former longtime resident of Windsor Locks, Conn.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hawley was employed as an electrician at Kaman Aircraft in Bloomfield, Conn., for 30 years, retiring in 1985.
He was a 46-year member of the Windsor Locks Volunteer Fire Department.
His wife, the former Helen Ferdyn, whom he married in 1951, died April 5, 1995.
He leaves several nieces and nephews, including his caregivers, Robert and Kay Harris of Dalton.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for William H. "Bill" Hawley Jr., 81, will be conducted Friday, April 29, at noon at WINDSOR LOCKS FUNERAL HOME, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, Conn.
Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery in Windsor Locks. Bill's family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Friday from 11 to noon at the funeral home.
