Richard Charles Ferryall

Richard Charles Ferryall, 69, of 54 Dalton Division Road, died Thursday at his home after a short illness.
Born in Stafford Springs, Conn., on Dec. 2, 1935, son of Floyd and Rose Bengle Ferryall, he was a 1953 graduate of Springfield Massachusetts Technical High School.
He was also a graduate of the General Electric Apprentice Drafting Program.
Mr. Ferryall had been employed by General Electric for 31 years, retiring in 1990 as a computer programming specialist from the transformer department.
He was a communicant of Saint Agnes Church.
He was a past member of the Dalton Lions Club, where he held numerous local and state offices.
He had also been involved with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Dalton for many years.
He enjoyed the computer, playing cards and traveling.
He leaves his wife, the former Sheila Connally, whom he married June 1, 1957, at St. Thomas Church in Adams.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Charles J. Ferryall of Cumberland, Md., and David E. Ferryall of Cape Coral, Fla., and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Richard C. Ferryall, who died April 21, 2005, will be held Monday, April 25, at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Saint Agnes Church, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor.
Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery, Dalton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday, April 24, from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home. Mr. Ferryall enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is lovingly survived by his four grandchildren, Shannon and Michael Ferryall, Scott and Eric Gagnon; daughter-in-law, Nancy Ferryall, and by Sandra Pinard, fiancee of David Ferryall.
