Lucille M. Ginthwain, 56

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Lucille M. Ginthwain, 56, of 40 Linden St., where she had resided since October, formerly of Chickering Street, died Wednesday afternoon, April 13, 2005, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Hanover, N.H., on June 20, 1948, daughter of Stephen J. and Glenna A. Hoisington Rahilly, she attended Pittsfield schools.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Ginthwain was a homemaker and caregiver for her stepfather, William "Pick" Pensivy. She had been a certified nursing assistant for 20 years with BMC, retiring in 1985.
She returned to work in 2001, as a personal care attendant for Ad Lib, from which she retired earlier this year.
An advocate for organ donation, Mrs. Ginthwain at her death donated both of her kidneys, which were transplanted Thursday into two recipients in New England.
She was a former communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She was a blood donor for the American Red Cross. She played softball and was an American Softball Association umpire at the Berkshire County Softball Complex.
She also bowled in the Women's Pro League at Candle Lanes and was a Red Sox fan.
Her husband, Richard L. "Skip" Ginthwain, whom she married Aug. 17, 1968, in the former Trinity United Methodist Church, died June 10, 2002.
Besides her stepfather, she leaves three daughters, Cindy M. Ginthwain of Wolfeboro Falls, N.H., Paula J. Ginthwain and Karen E. Ginthwain, both of Pittsfield; four brothers, Jerry Rahilly of Lubec, Maine, Barry Dunnells of the state of Florida, Terry Dunnells and Randy Dunnells, both of Clinton; three sisters, Christine S. Beebe of Peru, Marlene Ethier of Pittsfield and Wendy Coty of Springfield, and three grandchildren, Tyler Virgilio, Mariah Basilere and Tori Bishop.
She was predeceased by a brother, Gary Rahilly of Florida, and her identical twin sister, Loretta Roy.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Ginthwain will be held Sunday, April 17, at 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor of St. Agnes' Church, Dalton, officiating.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 5 to 7. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Ginthwain may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
