John Charles Tarjick Jr., 58, of 7 Second St., Livingston Apartments, died Saturday at home after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on July 1, 1946, son of John C. Tarjick Sr. and Bernadette T. Sampson Tarjick, he was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School, where he was a member of the football team.
He also graduated from the nursing program at Berkshire Community College.
A licensed practical nurse, Mr. Tarjick was employed by several nursing homes and nursing agencies in the area, until retiring in 2000 because of poor health.
He was a communicant of St. Charles' Church.
He enjoyed sports.
He leaves two sisters, Mary Ellen Healey of Jenks, Okla., and Patricia Potter of Lanesboro.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for John C. Tarjick Jr. who died April 9, 2005, will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, which is handling arrangements.
He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
