Sheila Mae Burke, 67, of 153 South St. died Wednesday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on July 29, 1937, daughter of James F. Burke Sr. and Dorothy MonyahanBurke, she was a 1955 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
She also attended the former Berkshire Business College.
A bookkeeper, Ms. Burke had been employed by Emerson Construction Co. for 15 years, retiring in 2003. Prior to this, she had worked at Arace Auto and O'Connell Oil.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.
She was a member of the 3rd Order of the Dominicans. She enjoyed collecting music boxes and local baseball games. She was also a fan of the Red Sox.
She leaves a sister, Sister Barbara A. Burke SP of the Sisters of Providence, and a brother, James F. Burke Jr. of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Sheila M. Burke, who died April 6, 2005, will be Monday at 8:15 from the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., with a concelebrated Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Joseph's Church, with her cousin, the Rev. Mark J. Burke SJ, pastor of St. Patrick and St. Raphael's Parish in Williamstown, and the Rev. Michael J. Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of the funeral home.
She is lovingly survived by several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Patrick Burke, in 1997.
