Anna Dill

Anna Dill, 86, of 65 Columbus Ave. died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 12, 1918, daughter of Demko and Anna Gernick Senyk, she was a 1936 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Dill had been employed in the kitchen at Miss Hall's School, retiring in 1985 after 21 years of service.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality.

An avid 10-pin bowler, she bowled with the Monday Morning Senior League and the Thursday Afternoon Rosary League at Candle Lanes Inc.

Her husband, Wallace H. Dill, died Oct. 13, 1975.

She leaves two sons, Robert Dill of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Richard Dill of Schwenksville, Pa.; a daughter, Judith Lenihan of Pittsfield; a brother, John Senyk of Pittsfield, eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Another son, Ronald Dill, died in 1995.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Ann Dill died in Pittsfield on Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Funeral services will be tomorrow, Saturday, April 2, at 8:15 from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 in Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Friday, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners in care of the funeral home.

She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to seven grandsons, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
