Holly Sipma, 45, of 219 Saratoga Ave., Chicopee, died Wednesday at home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 5, 1959, daughter of Russell Clark and Joan D. Couch Clark Ashton, she was a graduate of the Roger L. Putnam Vocational Training School in Springfield.
She had resided in Chicopee for the past 25 years.
She had served in the Army during peacetime.
Mrs. Sipma had been employed as an office manager at Quality Plus in Chicopee for five years. Previously, she had worked at Sunrise Restaurant.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, arranging flowers and gardening.
Besides her father of Richmond and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and her mother of Springfield, she leaves her longtime companion, Lawrence M. Roy of Chicopee; a son, Derek J. Sipma of Virginia and formerly of Chicopee; a daughter, Andrea L. Sipma of Chicopee; a stepson, Brent M. Roy of Chicopee; her maternal grandmother, Mabel Couch of Springfield; her paternal grandmother, Florence Clark of Richmond; a brother, Philip P. Ashton of Springfield; a sister, Cheryl L. Clark of Westfield, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 3-year-old son, Jason A. Sipma.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be this evening, Friday, at 8 p.m. at the TYLUNAS FUNERAL HOME, 159 Broadway in Chicopee. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 8 at the funeral home.
Following cremation, burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Among survivors are her granddaughters, Madison and Kearstin; her Aunt Janice Clark of Richmond, and her uncles, Thomas Clark and Frank Couch.
