Mark Kenneth Stevens, 37, of 5465 Curry Ford Road, Hollowbrook Apartments, Orlando, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Sunday at Florida Hospital East in Orlando after a brief illness.
Born in Baltimore on March 18, 1967, son of Winifred Schylaske Stevens Elliott, of Pittsfield, and the late Robert L. Stevens, he attended schools in Maryland and in Great Barrington.
He moved to Florida from Pittsfield.
Mr. Stevens had been employed by painting contractors in the Orlando area for the past 10 years.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking and music.
Besides his mother, he leaves two brothers, Larry Stevens of the state of Florida and Robert Stevens of Maryland, and a sister, Teresa D. Brilliant of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Mark K. Stevens, who died March 13, 2005, will be conducted Friday at 11 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., by the Rev. John J. Varley, pastor of St. Teresa's Church.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
He is lovingly survived by his two nephews, James and Joshua Brilliant.
