Evelyn Mae Elliott, 83, of 5312 Royal Cypress Circle, Tampa, Fla., formerly of Imperial Avenue, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.
Born Evelyn M. Prockett in Springfield on July 5, 1921, she attended schools in Pittsfield and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She also graduated from the former Berkshire Business College.
She had resided in Florida for nine years.
A homemaker, Mrs. Elliott was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and of St. Paul's Church in Tampa.
She enjoyed playing bingo.
Her husband, William J. Elliott Sr., whom she married July 21, 1943, in St. Mary's Church, died July 18, 1989.
She leaves a son, William J. Elliott Jr. of Tampa; a daughter, Kathleen N. Feltre of Tampa; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Evelyn Mae Elliott, who died March 14, 2005, will be celebrated Saturday at 9 at St. Mark's Church by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Tampa, Fla., in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements.
