Ruby C. Cassidy

Ruby C. Cassidy, 92, of The Curtis, 6 Main St., died Wednesday at Springside of Pittsfield, where she had resided for the past year.
Born in Canada on Nov. 5, 1912, daughter of George and Nellie Wilson Collins, she was educated there.
Mrs. Cassidy was employed as a teller in the credit department of Berkshire Gas Co. from 1952 to 1974.
She was a member of the Church on the Hill and enjoyed singing in the choir.
For many years, she sang bass and occasionally directed the Hill and Dale Singers Barbershop Chorus in Great Barrington.
Her husband, Alton B. Cassidy, whom she married in 1932, died Dec. 10, 1991.
She leaves a son, Allan W. Cassidy of Pittsfield, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Another son, Kenneth G. Cassidy, died May 21, 1998.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Memorial Service for Ruby C. Cassidy will be Saturday, March 26, 2005, at 10:30 at the Church on the Hill. Omission of flowers is requested. Memorial donations may be made to Springside of Pittsfield Activities Fund or Elder Services of Berkshire County Inc., in care of the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Julee R. Cassidy of Pittsfield. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a great joy of her life.
