Beverly E. Enright

Beverly E. Enright, 68, of 92 Raymond Drive, died Thursday morning at home after a long battle with a malignant brain tumor.
Born in Copake, N.Y., on July 31, 1936, daughter of John E. Wasuk and Agnes Haner Wasuk, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1954 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Enright was the treasurer and co-owner of Perferx Optical for 25 years. Previously, she was the manager of Manpower Employment Agency.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church and a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
A member of the Wahconah Country Club, she was an active golfer there and in Florida, where she spent winters.
She also enjoyed playing bingo, mahjong and bridge.
She and her husband, John L. Enright, celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 22. They were married at St. Mary of the Morning Star Church.
Besides her husband and mother, she leaves four daughters, Colleen D. Alessio and Tracie D. Folan of Dalton, Rebecca D. Yannone and Melanie Gillmeister both of Pittsfield; a son, J. Larry Enright of Southampton; two brothers, John E. Wasuk of Lenox and Donald J. Wasuk of Dalton; and 16 grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Beverly E. Enright, 68, who died Feb. 24, 2005, will be on Monday at 9:45 from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 concelebrated at St. Agnes' Church by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles' Church, and the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor of St. Agnes' Church.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 1 until 5 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Beverly Enright Scholastic Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home. She was the proud Grammie of Megan, Timothy, Ryan, Kaitlin and Courtney Alessio; Joseph M., Mark and Emily Yannone; Matthew, Jillian and Michael Gillmeister; Samantha, Shawn and Erin Folan; and Jack and Luke Enright.
She is also survived by her sons-in-law, Robert A. Alessio, Joseph A. Yannone and Robert G. "Gerry" Gillmeister; and her daughter-in-law Patricia "Trish" LaBanca Enright. Bev will always be remembered as a warm, loving, caring mother, grandmother, and friend who was always there for those who needed her.
