Joseph John Sorensen

Joseph John Sorensen, 39, of 600 Main St. died Thursday evening at home following a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on March 21, 1965, son of John Sorensen of Epsom, N.H., and Patricia P. Doherty of Pittsfield, he attended schools in Dalton and was a 1983 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School.
He also attended Berkshire Community College.
Mr. Sorensen was most recently employed by Goodwill Industries.
He was a member of Church of Christ in Pittsfield. A talented artist, he enjoyed painting portraits of his family.
He also enjoyed computers and poetry.
Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Robert E. Sorensen of Gardner; three sisters, Debra Sorensen Larkin, Mary C. Sorensen and Patrice A. Sorensen Tremblay, all of Dalton; his stepmother, Huguette Sorensen of Epsom, and his former wife, Donna Sumner Sorensen of Hinsdale.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Joseph John Sorensen, age 39, who died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, will be conducted Tuesday at 11 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Charles Young, pastor of Church of Christ.
Burial will be in Ashuelot Cemetery, Dalton. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation in care of the funeral home.
He is lovingly survived by his nephews and nieces, Colin T. and Sean J. Larkin of Dalton, Alice Larkin Klopfenstein, Christina Tremblay, Julianna Alexis Tremblay and Hunter Dominic Gallagher, all of Pittsfield, and Patrick J. Sorensen and Amber Summer, both of Dalton.
He loved his church, but most of all, his family. He was a "most excellent" son and brother.
