Evelyn M. Ferroro, 88, of 2511 Valley Forge Court, Eustis, Fla., formerly of Lenox, died Tuesday evening at Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, Fla.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 8, 1916, daughter of Joseph and Evelyn M. Conway Goodrich, she was a graduate of local schools.
She later resided in Lenox and moved to Florida in 1996.
Mrs. Ferroro was the proprietor of the Nearly New Shop on Elm Street in Pittsfield from 1956 to 1993.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the former St. Luke's Hospital Women's Auxiliary, both in Pittsfield.
Her husband, James P. Ferroro, died Feb. 9, 1978.
She leaves two daughters, Evelyn M. Croughwell of Eustis and Maryjane Ferraro of Wellesley; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside services for Evelyn M. Ferroro, who died Feb. 22, 2005, will be held Tuesday, March 1, at 11:30 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield, by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor of Sacred Heart Church.
There will be no calling hours. DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., is handling arrangements.
