Erick G. "Rick" Meyer Jr., 63, of Windsor, Conn., died Friday at Hartford (Conn.) Hospital.
Born in Pittsfield, son of Erick G. Meyer Sr. and Louise Clark Meyer, he grew up on Crane Avenue and was a 1959 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
He moved to Windsor in 1976.
A Navy veteran, he served during the Cuban missile crisis.
Mr. Meyer retired in 1992 from United Parcel Service in Hartford.
He was a car collector.
He and his wife, the former Carol Richardello, were married 42 years.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Erick P. Meyer of Windsor, Conn., Rob Meyer of Ashley Falls and John Meyer of Broadbrook, Conn.; a brother, Fran Meyer of the state of Florida; two sisters, Marlene Kirchner and Shirley Masterone, both of Pittsfield, and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A service for Erick G. "Rick" Meyer Jr. will be held Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 11 at CARMON WINDSOR FUNERAL HOME, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, Conn. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be tomorrow, Feb. 15, from 6 to 9 at the funeral home and one hour prior to Wednesday's service.

He leaves two daughters-in-law, Lisa and Kelly; a sister-in-law, Faith Meyer; a brother-in-law, Larry Kirchner; his four grandchildren, Robbie, Matty, Ryan and Gunnar Meyer, and nieces and nephews.
