Susan Louise Eley, 55, of 5 Paradise Court, Paradise Lane, Birmingham, England, formerly of Pittsfield, died Tuesday at home after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 29, 1949, daughter of the late David R. Kidd Sr. and Barbara Byrne Kidd, she graduated from Lenox High School and from Carnegie Melon University in Pittsburgh.
She moved to England 14 years ago.
Mrs. Eley worked in banking in Birmingham until retiring last year because of ill health.
She was a member of Millpool Hill Church in Birmingham.
She and her husband, Keith Eley, were married July 6, 1991, in Pittsburgh.
Besides her husband, she leaves a brother, David Kidd Jr. of Schodack, N.Y., and a sister, Barbara Seddon of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Susan Louise died peacefully on Feb. 8, 2005, aged 55 years. Dearly loved wife of Keith and sister to Barbara and David. She will be very sadly missed by all of her family and many friends.
She also is survived by several nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held Monday, March 7, at 12:10 at St. Joseph's Church in Pittsfield. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Hospice in Birmingham, England, in care of her husband, Keith.
