Eugene E. Pettibone

Eugene E. Pettibone, 75, of 56 East Deming St. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 7, 1929, son of Alfred and Annabelle Winters Pettibone, he attended local schools.
Mr. Pettibone had been employed as a painter by various contractors, including Rossi Construction for seven years, Barbaretta for 11 years and Charles Rohlfs for 27 years before retiring in 1996.
His wife, the former Ethel M. Burnham, whom he married May 24, 1975, died April 20, 2000.
He leaves four stepsons, Michael Rock of Pittsfield, Kenneth Rock of North Carolina, James Rock of Florida, and Edward Rock of Alabama; a sister, Ruth Sayers of Dalton; two brothers, Paul Pettibone of Pittsfield and Earl Pettibone of Florida, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Memorial Service for Eugene E. Pettibone will be Saturday, Feb. 12, at 2 at the BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Levi Davenport, pastor of the Windsor Congregational Church, officiating.
There will be no calling hours. Following cremation, burial will be in the spring in Ashuelot Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Dalton Ambulance Fund in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
