Stanley R. Lingoski

Stanley R. Lingoski, 83, formerly of 16 South Merriam St., died Monday evening at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility where he had resided since 1999.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 19, 1921, son of Peter and Blanche Gramotski Lingoski, he attended local schools, including Pittsfield High School
An Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, he served from 1942 until 1946, part of that time in the Pacific theater.
Mr. Lingoski was employed by GE for 43 years as an assembler, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs, and a former member of the Polish Falcons Club.
He enjoyed fishing and watching sports on television.
His wife, the former Eleanor Waychiconis, whom he married Sept. 25, 1954, in St. Mark's Church, died Aug. 16, 1961.
He leaves two sisters, Sophia Cadenelli and Alice Kruczkowski, both of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Stanley R. Lingoski, who died Feb. 7, 2005, will be conducted tomorrow, Feb. 10, at 10:30 at DERY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles' Church.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Feb. 9, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
He was predeceased by three brothers, John Lingoski, Edward Lingoski and Peter Lingoski, and three sisters, Stella Comalli, Jeanette Oparowski and Vicky Cargile. He leaves several nieces and nephews.
