Rita C. Radcliffe, 91, formerly of 75 Baldwin Ave., died Tuesday morning at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since June 2003.
Born in Pittsfield on July 22, 1913, daughter of James H. and Nellie O'Connor Doran, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Radcliffe was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Her husband, Harry Radcliffe, whom she married Dec. 2, 1933, died June 5, 1996.
She leaves a daughter, Barbara Cocito of Pittsfield; a son, H. Richard Radcliffe of New York state, four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Rita C. Doran Radcliffe, age 91, was called safely home on Feb. 1, 2005. The funeral will be Saturday at 9 at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Outreach at Sacred Heart Church in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. In honoring Rita's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
She is lovingly survived by her grandchildren, Deborah Barry, Lisa Mlynarczyk, Andrea Cocito and Christopher Radcliffe; her great-grandson, Luke Mlynarczyk, and her son-in-law, Gene Cocito.
She was predeceased by five sisters, Nellie Oickle, Mary Durant, Louise Snyder, Estella Stiles and Lillian Snyder, and two brothers, James Doran and William Doran.
