Theresa Streit Fosty, 57, of 139 Robbins Ave. died Monday morning at home after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 9, 1948, daughter of Gordon and Marjorie Jacques Gates, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Fosty was a homemaker.
She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and doing needle crafts and ceramics.
Her former husband, Alfred E. Streit, died Sept. 6, 2000.
She and her husband, Patrick J. Fosty Sr., were married Dec. 17, 1975.
Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, Frederick M. Streit, Patrick J. Fosty Jr., Andrew F. Fosty III and Michael J. Fosty, all of Pittsfield; six daughters, Sandra A. Williams, Laura J. Trybus, Lisa M. Streit, Brenda L. Streit, Christina A. Rosa and Justina A. Fosty, all of Pittsfield; two brothers, Gordon Gates and John Gates, both of Pittsfield; three sisters, Lorraine Robitaille, Esther Knappe and Geraldine Daley, all of Pittsfield, 12 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Theresa Fosty, who died Jan. 31, 2005, will be conducted tomorrow, Feb. 3, at 8 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. William D. Furey. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.
She leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Christopher Gates, and a sister, Joanne O'Bert.
