Gordon Mills

Gordon Mills, 96, formerly of 293 High St., and former resident of Lee, died Thursday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield, where he resided since 2002.
Born in Craftsbury, Vt., on Feb. 8, 1908, son of Frank and Emma Fosby Mills, he was educated in schools there.
Mr. Mills moved to Lee in 1958 and was employed at High Lawn Farm.
Prior to moving to Lee, he lived in Billerica.
His wife, the former Edna A. Hand, whom he married July 15, 1934, died June 21, 2003.
He leaves a daughter, Gordine A. Galusha of Dalton; a granddaughter; three great-grandsons and a great-great-grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mr. Mills leaves his loving granddaughter, Christine Meunier and her husband, Mark; his great-grandsons, Matthew, Patrick and Daniel, and his great-great-grandson, Tyler. He also leaves his son-in-law, Gib.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Mark, who died in 1984. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 at the KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with George Morrell, deacon at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10 until the time of the funeral.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Dalton Ambulance Fund in care of the funeral home.
