Daniel J. Bongini, 66, of 106 East Housatonic St. died Saturday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on July 26, 1938, son of Alfred J. and Elizabeth A. Albertazzi Bongini of Pittsfield, he was a 1956 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
He also attended Norwich University in Northfield, Vt.
He enjoyed sports, including skiing and golfing, and had won a city ski meet at Bousquet ski area while in high school.
He also enjoyed working on his computer and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Alan J. Bongini of Hinsdale.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Memorial Mass for Daniel J. Bongini, who died Jan. 22, 2005, will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 27, at 10 at St. Charles' Church in Pittsfield by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will take place in the spring in the family plot at Cheshire Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Daniel was survived by several nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and aunts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Charles' Church in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., which is in charge of arrangements.
