Gerald Michael Adornetto

Gerald Michael Adornetto, 45, of 26 Nancy Ave. died Wednesday in Pittsfield. Adornetto was found dead in his van on Wednesday morning.

Born in Pittsfield on April 2, 1959, son of Carmen Adornetto and the late Madlyn McDonough Adornetto, he attended schools in Pittsfield and graduated from Taconic High School with the class of 1977.

Mr. Adornetto was employed as a master plumber and was owner and operator of the Gerald Adornetto & Son Plumbing Co. in Pittsfield.

Besides his father and his stepmother, Angela Carnevale Adornetto, of Pittsfield, he leaves a son, Nicholas Adornetto of Pittsfield; a daughter, Cara Adornetto of Pittsfield; two sisters, Christine M. Cousineau of Pittsfield and Diane Moody of Pittsfield, and a brother, David Adornetto of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services to celebrate the life of Gerald Michael Adornetto will take place Tuesday evening at 5 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Thomas Bridgman, pastor of Grace Church in Pittsfield, officiating.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 4 to 5. Memorial donations are suggested for the Gerald M. Adornetto Children's Education Fund through the funeral home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. His son, Nicholas Adornetto, graduated from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, N.Y., in December of 2004.

He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
