Jeanette Scherben

Jeanette Scherben, 85, of Buffington Street, Taunton, died yesterday at home after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 28, 1919, daughter of Frank and Cornelia Gilbert Forkey, she was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Scherben was employed by GE in Pittsfield and later moved to Taunton in 1950 and worked as a legal secretary.
She was a communicant of St. Paul's Church in Taunton and enjoyed family, reading and emailing her friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Scherben.
She leaves two daughters, Marianne T. Brennan of Taunton and Judith E. Scherben of Laurel, Md.; a son, Andrew J. Scherben of North Kingstown, R.I.; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Jeanette Forkey Scherben will be Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at 9 from the O'KEEFE-WADE FUNERAL HOME, 70 Washington St., Taunton, to a funeral Mass at St. Paul's Church in Taunton at 10.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 5. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Taunton. Donations in Jeanette's memory may be made to Hospice Care of Greater Taunton, 244 North Main St., Raynham, MA, 02767.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Theresa DeMoranville of Rochester, Laura Brennan O'Connell of Attleboro, Matthew Brennan of Taunton and Katrina Scherben of North Kingstown and great-granddaughter, Abigail O'Connell of Attleboro.
