Clifford A. White Sr.

Clifford A. White Sr., 83, of 169 California Ave. died Sunday at Springside of Pittsfield, where he had resided since September 2003.
Born in Cummington on June 16, 1921, son of Lewis V. and Mary Harlow White, he was educated in Dalton and Springfield schools.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. White was employed as a truck driver for the McCory Corp. of Voohreesville, N.Y., retiring in 1983. He also was a semi-tractor trailer driver for Associated Transport of Albany, N.Y., for many years.
He was a member of the Teamsters union and the National Rifle Association, and a life member of Anthony J. DeAngelus Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Dalton.
He enjoyed hunting, target shooting and antique cars, and was a history buff. In his later years, he enjoyed building model cars.
He and his wife, the former Ruth E. "Bunnie" Liebeck, were married April 28, 1947, in Wallingford, Conn.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Christine A. White of Dalton and Cheryl A. White of Pittsfield; a son, Clifford A. White Jr. of Pittsfield, and a sister, Norma Gary of Westfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Clifford A. White Sr., 83, of Pittsfield died Dec. 26, 2004. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Dec. 30, from 4 to 6 at DERY FUNERAL HOME. There will be no services.
Following cremation, burial will take place at a later date. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Austin, Lewis, Stanley, Elliot and Theodore White.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
