Marion Jane "Judy" Tucker

Marion Jane "Judy" Tucker, 88, of Kimball Farms, formerly of 140 Melbourne Road, died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Willimantic, Conn., on April 21, 1916, daughter of William and Jane Burton Guilford, she was a 1934 graduate of Willimantic High School.

She moved to the Berkshires as a young woman.

Mrs. Tucker was employed by GE in the quality control department of the ordnance division for 15 years.

In 1985, she moved to Palm Harbor, Fla., where she was a member of Highland Lakes Country Club.

She returned to this area in 2002 and resided at Devonshire Estates in Lenox and then at Melbourne Place.

She and her husband, Worthington G. Tucker, were married Oct. 21, 1938, in Pittsfield. He died March 25.

She leaves three sons, Bruce Tucker of Newport, R.I., and Palm Beach, Fla., Gary Tucker of Richmond and Shaun Tucker of New Marlboro, and a granddaughter.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Marion Jane "Judy" Tucker was called safely home on Dec. 24, 2004. Judy loved life and was known for her wit and spontaneity.

She was devoted to her family. Judy will be remembered by her loving granddaughter, Toby Tucker Peters of Manhattan, and by her three daughters-in-law, Dr. Pamela Miller of Richmond, Elizabeth Quigley of New Marlboro and Joanne Tucker of Newport. In honoring Judy's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME has been entrusted with the arrangements.
