Yolanda R. "Yoli" Chiodo, 88, of 18 Edison Ave. died Wednesday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on June 7, 1916, daughter of Sebastian and Maria Coreo Biglia, she was a 1934 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Chiodo had been employed by GE for 37 years in the former power transformer department, retiring in 1979.
She was a communicant of All Souls' Church.
She was a member of the GE Pensioners' and Quarter Century clubs and the Ralph J. Froio Senior Center.
Her husband, Saverio A. Chiodo, whom she married Sept. 11, 1948, died June 20, 1953.
She leaves a son, Michael A. Chiodo of Petaluma, Calif., and a sister, Madelyn T. Glander of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Yolanda R. "Yoli" Chiodo will be Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 at All Soul's Church, 51 Pembroke Ave., by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Dec. 27, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Lori Chiodo; a brother-in-law, Earl L. Glander; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph F. Bilia and Tilio J. "Teo" Bilia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Soul's Church in care of the funeral home.
