Dorothy Hicks, 91, of 225C Park Ave. died Saturday at Craneville Place, where she had resided for two weeks.
Born in Pittsfield on April 12, 1913, daughter of George and Ruth Gallup Hicks, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She moved to Dalton four years ago.
Miss Hicks was employed by GE for 37 years as an assembler. Before that, she worked for seven years at the former Kulda's Soda Shop in Pittsfield.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pittsfield and a volunteer at Hillcrest Hospital.
She enjoyed oil painting, knitting, quilting and traveling.
She leaves a niece, Roberta Hicks Keable of Winsted, Conn., and a nephew, Steven S. Hicks of Hartford, Conn.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Miss Dorothy Hicks, who died Dec. 25, 2004, will be held in the spring at Pittsfield Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.
There will be no calling hours. She was predeceased by her brother, Sherman J. Hicks. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the First Baptist Church Media Ministry in care of BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 525 Main St. , Dalton, MA 01226.
