Grace Elizabeth Hubbard, 80, of Bradford Arms, formerly of 75 John St., died Tuesday morning at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided since October.
Born in Lenox on June 13, 1924, daughter of Simon and Minnie Williams James, she was a 1941 graduate of Lenox High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Hubbard had been employed by GE at one time.
She enjoyed cooking and baking.
She leaves four sons, John E. Hubbard III, Kyle G. Hubbard and Dana L. Hubbard, all of Pittsfield, and Kurt L. Hubbard of San Lorenzo, Calif.; three daughters, Joanne E. Haile and Linda M. Loholdt, both of Pittsfield, and Grace E. Hitt of Baltimore; a brother, Herbert H. James of Pittsfield; two sisters, Almedia Wilkinson of Orange, N.J., and Minnie Lee of Norwalk, Conn., 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A private graveside service for Grace Elizabeth James Hubbard, who died Tuesday, Dec. 21, will be held at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. She is also survived by her beloved daughter-in-law, Julie Hubbard, and her beloved son-in-law, Moses Haile Jr.
She was predeceased by a brother, Simon James, and a sister, Edna Gardner.
