Marie E. Bradway, 84, of 9 Dodge Ave. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on April 7, 1920, daughter of Eliajah and Emma Heuttner Bradway, she was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1941 graduate of the former Bishop School of Nursing.
She completed her postgraduate work at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center and Peter-Brent Hospital in Boston, and earned a bachelor of science degree in 1952 from Boston University School of Nursing.
A registered nurse, Miss Bradway had been employed by Berkshire Medical Center for 43 years, retiring in 1985.
She was an active member of First Church of Christ, Congregational for many years.
She was a member and director of the Bishop Alumni Association, and co-editor of the alumni newsletter.
She leaves several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside services for Miss Marie E. Bradway, who died Dec. 11, 2004, will be conducted today, Dec. 15, at 2 in Pittsfield Cemetery by the Rev. Meredith Handspicker. Friends are asked to gather inside the cemetery gate at 1:45.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of Christ, Congregational, Memorial Fund, 27 East St. Pittsfield, MA 01201. She was predeceased by a sister, Pauline G. White.
