Tessie M. Borsuk, 86, of Moseley, Va., a former resident of Pittsfield and Dalton, died Sunday at Our Lady of Hope Health Center in Moseley.
Born in West Warren on June 10, 1918, daughter of Joseph and Anna Sodlowska Baldyga, she attended schools there.
She lived in Berkshire County from 1947 to 1967, when she moved to Easthampton.
Mrs. Borsuk was employed as a clerk at the former Northampton Massachusetts Department of Motor Vehicles, retiring in 1986. She also worked at the former Northampton State Hospital.
She was a former communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Easthampton and a member of its St. Cecilia Choir and Holy Rosary Sodality.
Her husband, Edward Borsuk, died in 1967.
She leaves two daughters, Mary Schmiel Borsuk of Moseley and Rosemary Best of Storrs, Conn.; two sons, Thomas Borsuk of Colonial Heights, Va., and James Borsuk of Florence; a brother, Joseph Baldyga of Grandbury, Texas; two sisters, Frances Baldyga of Easthampton and Irene Walczak of Holyoke; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Tessie M. Borsuk, who died Dec. 5, 2004, will be Friday at 9 at BOUCHER-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 7 Pleasant St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, both in Easthampton.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Dalton. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Cecilia Choir, c/o Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 33 Knipfer Ave., Easthampton, MA 01027.
A sister, Mary Kadluboski of Watsonville, Calif., died in 2002.
