Cathleen J. Glass, 49, of 59 Third St., died early Friday morning after being stricken at home.
Born in Cincinnati on March 12, 1955, daughter of Raymond and Melanie Dylewski Stupak of Litchfield, Conn., she attended Pittsfield schools, graduating from Pittsfield High School in 1973 and from Berkshire Community College in 1975.
She had taken initial vows under the name Sister Bridget, working with handicapped children at St. Coleman's Home in Watervliet, N.Y., from 1977 to 1979.
Mrs. Glass was a homemaker.
She attended Mount Carmel Church.
She and her husband, Howard P. Glass, were married Aug. 18, 1984.
Besides her parents and her husband, she leaves a stepson, Paul Glass of Pittsfield; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Glass of Pittsfield; a sister, Cindy Disbrow of Pittsfield, and two brothers, Christopher Stupak of Goshen, Conn., and Peter Stupak of New Jersey.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Cathleen J. Glass, who died Dec. 3, 2004, will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 10 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittsfield, by the Rev. Geoffrey Deeker, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Dec. 6, from 4 to 7 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Lori Glass of Adams and Antonella Stupak; a brother- and sister-in-law, Walter and Terry Glass of Pittsfield; her father-in-law, Walter C. Glass of Cheshire; five nephews, David, Chris, Bobby, Derek and David, and two nieces, Stephanie and Shannon.
Another brother-in-law, Gary Glass, died in 1999 and her mother-in-law, Ruth Glass, in 1992.
