Martha Jacqueline "Jackie" Morin, 57, of 19 Pleasure Ave. died yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center following a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on June 28, 1947, daughter of Gilbert and Agnes Martin McDonough, she was a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
She also graduated from the LaBaron Hairdressing Academy in 1968.
Mrs. Morin was a self-employed hairdresser for 25 years, retiring in 1990 because of ill health. Previously, she had worked for American Optical for five years.
A former communicant of St. Mary's Church, she sang in the choir for many years.
She enjoyed painting, crafts and going to tag sales.
She leaves a son, Francis Morin of Pittsfield; a daughter, Terry Morin of Pittsfield; a brother, Martin D. McDonough of Pittsfield; a sister, Patricia Keyes of Pittsfield, and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Martha Jacqueline McDonough Morin, age 57, was called safely home on Nov. 30, 2004. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9 at St. Joseph's Church by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
She will be lovingly missed by her granddaughter, Samantha Morin, and many nieces and nephews.
