KimThu Thi Nguyen, 48, of Brown Street died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, on Feb. 11, 1956, daughter of Dong Son Nguyen and Cho Doan of Pittsfield, she graduated from high school in Vietnam in 1973.
She came to the United States in 1990 and became a citizen in 1998.
She was a student at the Adult Learning Center.
She attended services at St. Mary's Church and St. Joseph's Church.
She enjoyed long walks and bicycle riding.
Besides her parents, she leaves two brothers, Hason Nguyen of Maine and Hung Kim Nguyen of Massachusetts, and three sisters, KimDung Nguyen of Connecticut and KimXuan Vu and ThuHong Ly, both of Massachusetts.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- KimThu Nguyen, 48, was called safely home on Nov. 22, 2004. Calling hours will be today, Nov. 24, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 in St. Joseph's Church by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will be private. KimThu leaves behind a large family who loved her, cared for her and supported her. She gave much of her love to her cherished nieces and nephews. If friends desire, donations may be made to ThuHong Ly in care of the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
