Norman John Killackey

Norman John Killackey, 54, of 126 High St. died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 17, 1950, son of William J. and Anna Mae Brunelle Killackey, he was a 1968 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
He also attended Berkshire Community College.
Mr. Killackey had been employed for the past 13 years at Meridian Associates as a direct care worker.
He had worked in the health care field for most of his life, and also had been a counselor for troubled youths.
He enjoyed playing softball, nature and walks with his dog, and was an avid Red Sox fan.
He and his wife, the former June M. Saul, were married Feb. 24, 1979.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Christian Qua of New York state and Frederick Saul of Pittsfield; a daughter, Renee Petell of Pittsfield; four sisters, Karen Jornot of California, Nancy Bissaillon of Adams, Lee Ann Murach of Pittsfield and Lynn Rheaume of Lanesboro, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Norman J. Killackey, who died Nov. 18, 2004, will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 1 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles' Church.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meridian Associates in care of the funeral home.
Norman is lovingly survived by his three grandchildren, Michael, Joshua and Alyssa Petell, and by his beloved dog Scooty.
