Edward Peter Dunaj

Edward Peter Dunaj, 84, of 31 Bradford St. died early yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Adams on Feb. 25, 1920, son of Peter and Mary Stojda Dunaj, he attended Adams schools.
He resided in New York state for many years before moving to Pittsfield in 1992.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 7801st Station Complement Unit in the European theater until his discharge as a first lieutenant in 1948.
Mr. Dunaj was a self-employed real estate broker in New York City and later in the Albany, N.Y., area. He retired in 1992.
He was a former communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church.
He leaves nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Edward Peter Dunaj, who died Nov. 21, 2004, will be Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 9 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas.
Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours. He leaves his nieces, Beverly Bissell of Lee and Carol Lattizzori of Pittsfield, and nephews, Dr. Ronald Gintowt and Charles Gintowt, both of Westfield, and several grandnieces and -nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Stanley, Fred and John Dunaj, and by five sisters, Charlotte and Stacia Dunaj, Helen Furtek, Antonina Ostrowski and Anna Gintowt.
