Ryan Christopher Chevalier, 23, of 3610 Newcastle Court, Palm Harbor, Fla., died Tuesday at home after a short illness.
A former resident of Pittsfield, he had lived in Florida since July. He had also lived in Worcester for a year.
Born in Great Barrington on July 29, 1981, son of John L. "Jack" Chevalier and Sara A. Fox, both of Pittsfield, he attended schools in Adams, Pittsfield and Dalton, graduating from Wahconah Regional High School in 1999.
He earned a bachelor's degree in modern languages from Framingham State College in 2003.
For the past several months, Mr. Chevalier was manager of Bombay Imports in Tampa, Fla. Prior to this, he was a resident director at Clark University in Worcester for one year before moving to Florida.
He enjoyed animals, especially horses and horseback riding. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Paris, where he had been several times.
He spoke fluent French, Spanish and Portugese.
Besides his father and his mother, he leaves his stepmother, Vicki Chevalier Robare of Pittsfield; his paternal grandmother, Mary A. Sanborn Chevalier of Pittsfield, and his maternal grandparents, Lawrence N. and Joy A. Eldridge Fox of Lenox.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ryan C. Chevalier, who died Nov. 16, 2004, will be Monday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
He was a very humorous individual.
