Florence A. Henry

Florence A. Henry, 84, of 19 Claremont Road died yesterday at home.

Born in Dalton on Sept. 16, 1920, daughter of John and Etta Phillips Smith, she was a graduate of the former Dalton High School.

Mrs. Henry had been employed by Crane & Co. for 47 years, retiring from the quality control division in 1985.

A communicant of St. Agnes' Church, she made crafts, baked and crocheted for its tag sales and bazaars.

She also enjoyed gardening.

She and her husband, Robert A. Henry, were married July 21, 1973.

Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Rosalee B. Sibbio of Blandford.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Florence A. Henry, who died Nov. 9, 2004, will be celebrated Friday at 10 at St. Agnes' Church in Dalton by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor.

Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, Dalton. Among survivors are her sisters-in-law Dawne Smith of Stephentown and Jeanette LaPlante of Glenburn, Maine, and her dear friend, Lillian Schnopp of Dalton.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Dalton Ambulance Fund or to the St. Agnes' Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
