Catherine Milette, 91, of Rose Manor died Thursday at home after a brief illness.
Born in Little Falls, N.Y., on Jan. 17, 1913, daughter of James and Mary Donioto Giachetti, she was educated there.
She spent most of her adult life in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Milette was last employed at The Berkshire Eagle as an inserter for several years. Prior to that, she had worked in the dietary departments of the former St. Luke's and Pittsfield General hospitals. She also worked as a chambermaid at the former Hilton Hotel for several years.
She was a past communicant of Notre Dame Church.
She enjoyed gardening and traveling to casinos.
Her husband, Romeo E. Milette, whom she married Feb. 12, 1936, died Nov. 3, 1973.
She leaves four sons, Walter Milette of St. George, S.C., Paul Milette and Francis Milette, both of Largo, Fla., and Ernest Millette of Pittsfield; four daughters, Patricia Kennedy Milette and Joan Colla, both of Pittsfield, Dianne LeClair of North Adams and Judith Hamilton of West Roxbury; two sisters, Carmella Paul and Rose Giachetti, both of Herkimer, N.Y., 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.Another son, Robert Milette, died May 11, 1980.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Catherine Milette, 91, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004. In honoring Catherine's wishes, all services will be private. The Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles' Church, will officiate the funeral service and burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Make A Wish in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave.
