Arna Jean Blaney

Arna Jean Blaney, 81, formerly of Patterson Road, Lenox Dale, died Thursday at Ozark (Mo.) Riverview Manor nursing home.
Born in Williamstown on Aug. 12, 1923, daughter of George and Lucille Kimball Brookman, she attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1941 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She resided in Lenox Dale for more than 35 years before moving to Ozark four years ago.
A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, she was stationed in Hawaii and was discharged with the rank of corporal.
Mrs. Blaney was employed as a draftsman at GE in Pittsfield for many years. She later worked as a school bus driver.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pittsfield for many years.
She and her husband, Albert Blaney, were married in 1949 in Pittsfield.
Besides her husband, of Ozark, she leaves three daughters, Jean Smith of Ozark, Robin Bower of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Kim Huette of Keller, Texas; a brother, William Brookman of Pittsfield, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Calling hours for Arna Jean Blaney, who died Oct. 14, 2004, will be Monday from 6 to 8 at ROCHE FUNERAL HOME in Lenox. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in West Mountain Cemetery in Cheshire. Mrs. Blaney is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Hanna and Nathan Smith, Morgan and Nicole Huette, Dave Bower III, Melissa Bower, Eric Vreeland, Tod Smith and Bonnie Toner.
