Lavender Kennedy "Larry" Goodsill Jr., 60, of 84 Clarkson Ave. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Great Barrington on June 29, 1944, son of Lavender K. Goodsill Sr. and Betty Enos Goodsill, he attended schools in Belchertown until age 21.
Mr. Goodsill had been employed for the past three years by Zip & Sort mailing services. Earlier, he had worked for Goodwill Industries for many years.
He was a member of Immanuel Community Church and enjoyed fishing, knitting, gardening, traveling and listening to Gospel music.
He leaves a sister, Hazel Goodsill of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Lavender K. "Larry" Goodsill Jr. will be conducted Wednesday at 11 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Carl Towley. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Great Barrington.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Among survivors are his brother-in-law, Dennis Goliasky, longtime roommate James Scutt, niece Tara LeMay, great-niece Katelyn LeMay and great-nephew, Logan LeMay.
He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was greatly loved by his surrogate family at Sullivan & Associates. Memorial donations may be made to either BCARC or the Berkshire Humane Society, both in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
