John "Jack" T. Danylin

John "Jack" T. Danylin, 65, of 30 Plinn St., died Friday morning at home after a short illness.
Born in Pittsfield on June 13, 1939, son of Helen M. Nylic Danylin and the late William Danylin, he was a 1957 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a lifelong resident of Pittsfield.
Mr. Danylin was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was employed for many years at Sears Roebuck Co.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, trapping and hunting and was a lifelong member of the Pittsfield Sportsman's Club, where he at one time was a member of the board of directors.
He was a member of St. Charles' Church.
Besides his mother, he leaves a daughter, Laura Danylin of Youngsville, N.C.; a son, J. Dale Danylin of Savoy; three brothers, Thomas A. Danylin and Ronald B. Danylin, both of Pittsfield, and William F. Danylin of Lanesboro; two sisters, Joan M. Leydet of Chesapeake, Va., and Carol Ann Gifford of Pittsfield; his former wife, Dorothy A. Dow Danylin of Pittsfield, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mr. John "Jack" Danylin died in Pittsfield on Friday, Oct. 8, 2004. Graveside services for family members will be Thursday, Oct. 14, at 10 in St. Joseph's Cemetery with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles Church, officiating.
There are no calling hours. If friends desire, donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice in care of DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield 01201.
Mr. Danylin was a loving grandfather to Alanna, Daniel and Emma. Family and friends are welcome to the home at 30 Plinn St. following the committal service at the cemetery.
