Charles F. Grady, 63, of 1276 North St. died Tuesday at home following a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 30, 1941, son of Milton and Wanda Wickowicz Grady, he was a 1959 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A Marine Corps veteran, he served as a corporal from 1959 to 1963 in a repair battalion at a Marine Corps supply center.
An electrician, Mr. Grady was the electrical inspector for the city of Pittsfield for 15 years, retiring in 2003. He had previously worked for area contractors.
He was a communicant of St. Charles' Church and a member of American Legion Post 68.
An avid golfer, he enjoyed sports and was a Dodgers and Knicks fan.
He and his wife, the former Dorothy Williams, were married July 3 in Pittsfield.
Besides his wife, he leaves a stepson, Christopher Jones of Dalton; a stepdaughter, Tracy Kenney of Pittsfield; three brothers, Milton Grady of San Diego, and David Grady and Robert Grady, both of Pittsfield, and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Charles F. Grady, age 63, died peacefully at his home on Oct. 5, 2004, surrounded by his family and friends. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 at St. Charles' Church by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
He is also lovingly survived by his granddaughter, Cassidy Brunina Kenney.
