Harry O'Gara, 86, of 21 Kensington Ave. died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 17, 1917, son of Michael E. and Letitia Krommes O'Gara, he was a 1936 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. O'Gara had been employed by GE in the testing department for many years, retiring in 1980.
An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics.
He leaves two nephews, Paul O'Gara of Montague and John O'Gara of Columbus, Ohio.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Harry O'Gara, who died Oct. 4, 2004, will be Thursday at 2 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Robert Rennie, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. A sister, Mary J. O'Gara, predeceased him on April 25, 2004. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Morningside Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
