Patricia Drane, 68, of 34 Bayberry Road, Newburyport, a native of Dalton, died Saturday at Country Manor in Newburyport.
Born on Oct. 18, 1935, daughter of William and Elizabeth Carey Allen, she was a 1952 graduate of the former Dalton High School.
She moved to the Springfield area in 1958.
Mrs. Drane was employed by Sears in West Springfield and at the Holyoke Mall for 20 years, managing the Sears coffee shop for several years, until 1990.
She was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Agawam.
Her husband, Robert Drane, whom she married in 1955, is deceased.
She leaves three sons, Peter Drane of West Springfield, Robert Drane of Agawam and Timothy Drane of Dalton; three daughters, Lisa Hodge of North Hampton, N.H., Kate Tarrant of Hampden and Kelli Doyle of Newburyport, with whom she resided; a sister, Sheila Lilly of Pittsfield; two brothers, Daniel Allen of Dalton and William Allen of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and 13 grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, William Drane and Christopher Drane.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Funeral Mass for Patricia "Pat" Drane, who died Oct. 2, 2004, will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 at Christ Church Cathedral, 95 Chestnut St., Springfield. A reception to share memories of Pat's life will immediately follow the service at the cathedral. Pat was known for her cheery disposition.
She had many friends and was a devoted Christian. She was also predeceased by three siblings, Betty Lou Gray, and Patrick and Thomas Allen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Open Pantry Community Services Inc., 287 State St., Springfield, MA 01105.
