Lisa Ann Murillo, 44, of 11 Southbrook Lane, died Sunday afternoon from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 27, 1960, daughter of Kenneth and Ann Helliwell Turner of Pittsfield, she was a 1978 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She also was a graduate of the former North Adams State College's X-ray Technology Program and Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center Ultrasound Technician Program.
She had resided in Dalton before moving back to Pittsfield three years ago.
Mrs. Murillo had been an ultrasound technician for 20 years. At the time of her death, she was working per diem at the Women's Imaging Center at Berkshire Medical Center and also at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. She was first employed at BMC, then at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester and later at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and, earlier, a member of First Baptist Church. She also had volunteered at Sacred Heart School.
She and her husband, Dr. Boris A. Murillo, were married Sept. 27, 1996.
Besides her husband and parents, she leaves three sons, Robert T. Wheeler, Mirko A. Murillo and Lucio K. Murillo, all of Pittsfield; two daughters, Laura A. Wheeler and Jenna L. Wheeler, both of Pittsfield; two brothers, Jeffrey Turner of Schuylerville, N.Y., and Robert Turner of Medford, N.J., and two sisters, Christine Earls of Windsor and Diane Smith of Fort Myers, Fla.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Calling hours for Lisa Ann Turner Murillo, who died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, will be held this afternoon beginning at 4 until this evening at 8 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Murillo will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church by the Rev. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Murillo may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or Berkshire County Kids' Place, both in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. Murillo will be missed by her family here and in Bolivia.
