Barbara J. Parizo Laraway

Barbara J. Parizo Laraway, 66, of 309 Elm St. died Sunday at home after a long illness.

Born in Bennington, Vt., on Jan. 29, 1938, daughter of Stanley R. King Sr. and Barbara Kupfer King, she attended Bennington schools.

She had resided in Lenox Dale from 1978 until moving to Pittsfield in 1990.

A homemaker, Mrs. Laraway enjoyed bingo, cooking, traveling and going to tag sales, and collecting cookbooks, angels and dolphins.

She and her husband, Richard A. Laraway Sr., were married Dec. 19, 1981.

Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Robyn E. Soules of Wickford, R.I., Kelli L. Piacquadio of Lee and Michele A. Shove of Pittsfield; two sons, Michael C. Parizo of Germany and Terrence L. Parizo of Bradenton, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Laraway of Chicago and Rosemary P. Larkin of Richmond; three stepsons, Richard A. Laraway Jr. of Rochester, N.Y., Jeff M. Laraway of Melbourne, Fla., and Mark W. Laraway of Ohio; 30 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Barbara J. King Parizo Laraway, who died Oct. 3, 2004, will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 7, at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., by the Rev. John C. Salatino, pastor of St. Mark's Church.

Burial will follow in the family plot in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Oct. 6, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.

She was predeceased by a sister, Mary E. Simpson, and a brother, Stanley R. King Jr.
