Betty L. Gray, 73, of Berkshire Town Apartments died Monday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 24, 1930, daughter of William and Elizabeth Carey Allen, she attended local schools.
She had resided on Baystate Road until moving to her apartment seven years ago.
A homemaker, Mrs. Gray was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church.
She enjoyed sewing bunnies and doll clothes, and attending church bazaars.
Her husband, Freeman G. Gray Sr., whom she married Oct. 21, 1947, died Oct. 25, 1960.
She leaves two sons, Freeman G. Gray Jr. of Newark, Del., and Daniel R. Gray of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Patricia Drane of Newburyport and Sheila Lilly of Pittsfield; two brothers, Daniel Allen of Pittsfield and William Allen of Port St. Lucie, Fla., three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Betty L. Gray, who died Sept. 20, 2004, will be celebrated Friday at 11 at St. Theresa's Church by the Rev. John Varley, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Theresa's Church in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
