Earl Quentin Adams

Earl Quentin Adams, 84, of Kanis Road, Ferndale, Ark., died yesterday at Hillcrest Commons, where he had resided since July 30.
Born in Morrilton, Ark., on Sept. 5, 1920, the son of John and Alta Tucker Adams, Mr. Adams attended schools there and was a 1938 graduate of Joseph T. Robinson High School in Ferndale, Ark.
A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Adams served from 1938 until 1959.
Mr. Adams was employed from 1959 until 1963 at the Census Bureau in Washington, D.C., then at the federal Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala., from 1963 until his retirement in 1975.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading.
He and his wife, the former June P. Dodge of Pittsfield, were married Oct. 20, 1951.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Gary R. Adams of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; two daughters, Lynn P. Adams of Dalton and Joy M. Cameron of Pittsfield, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Earl Q. Adams, who died Sept. 20, 2004, will be held at the convenience of the family. DERY FUNERAL HOME is handling arrangements.
Mr. Adams, a wonderful father and loving grandparent, will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren, Jane Mercier, Jesse Adams, Jennifer and Julie Steinman, Holly DiGrigoli, Jeffrey Michalski and Andrew Cameron, and by his nine great-grandchildren; his niece and caregiver, Marjorie Tipton, and two sisters-in-law, Violet and Beth Adams.
He was predeceased by two brothers, John Adams and James W. Adams, and by nephew, John Adams.
